It's been a long and unproductive day
By the grace of God, we are getting there! Almost out of debt! Ugh! This last portion seems so slow but I see the light!!! Just trying to get to 70% by the end of this month and I will feel super relieved! Everything changes in December when Ryan no longer attends school. And even now, we have some medical bills coming in we didn't anticipate (hooray for emergency funds, am I right?) But, now is crunch time! To think that at the beginning of 2017, we were paying $1597 in just MINIMUM PAYMENTS ALONE every single month! AND NOT EVEN ON STUFF LIKE CLOTHES AND SUCH (we aren't big consumer shoppers at all) More like cars, medical bills, emergency personal loans and similar! So, this is such a relief!

Uh-maze-ing! A former employee (think 2+ years ago) had an audit and owed me $453.06 for unpaid overtime. I transferred $400 to debt and the stats are in: Starting debt: $79,026.11 Debt paid: $54,112.98 Debt owed: $24,913.13 We are officially 68.4% debt freeeeeeeeee God always provides! You never know when you're going to get some 'random' mail (really just His timing)👌 I have to say though, my prayer isn't to get debt free to have a ton to spend afterwards. Rather, it's important to note that my HEART HAS BEEN CHANGED as I used to worship money and idolize it. Now, I can't save or deter/detest spending enough! If anything, my heart is to GIVE and to instead spend TIME with the family God has gifted me. So, God isn't about prosperity. This is about a relationship of TRUST and a changed HEART. That's why my personal walk with Him is uniquely related to the walk away from fame and fortune I once sought. It is ONLY for that reason that I share His miraculous gifts of providing. Because He loves us and He knows my heart no longer worships the money. I worship Him. He is disciplining me to become a good steward and right now we are growing closer in this debt free journey so that I may focus my time and talents freely where He directs me after we are no longer "slave to the lender". Amen!!!!
